About

Hello there! I’m glad you decided to drop by!

I’m a senior (eek!) at my local university, majoring in animal science with her sites set on veterinary school.

I’m currently attempting to fulfill my prereqs for vet school (science, science, science, and also a few science classes) and finish up my major’s requirements (science, science, and a dash of agricultural economics/business management course work).

I have three older sisters:

  • a dentist
  • a registered dietician (RD)
  • an architect.

Needless to say, I’m part of a wide variety and I’ve learned quite a bit from each of them and their respective careers. I also have a plott hound, and I used to have a pug who recently passed away.

I enjoy running, coffee, , cooking/baking, reading, creative writing, and photography.

When I was a young-ish teenager, I developed a disordered pattern of eating (not necessarily an “eating disorder”), self-esteem issues (if you survived puberty without suffering this, you’re not human and you need to leave this blog immediately :)), and began living a lifestyle that was difficult, unhealthy, unfair, and yet…inadvertently the “most-moral” thing to do if I wanted to protect the people I loved.

I am a Christian, although I don’t really believe in “religion” but rather a meaningful relationship with Jesus Christ.

Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’ –John 14:6.

In addition to my “mental/emotional” health, I hope to post and explore my spiritual health as well. Along with occasional ramblings about the process of growing up into the acceptable adult I should be.

Please understand that I’m NOT here to shove religion/faith/etc. down anyone’s throat–blogging is a way for me to explore myself as a person and my resulting thoughts, and also a way to communicate with others. I’m not forcing anyone to read or follow anything they don’t believe in.

So..with that said:

This is my blog, and my story.
